Results from Oakdale

Last weekend I competed in the Fourth Annual Oakdale Pattern contest. What a great time was had by all. The weather was warm but a nice breeze kept everyone comfortable.

Chris Fitzsimmons' Neptuno

It was great having two other pilots flying in the Sportsman Class. We had a very close competition with the difference between first and second being only 11 points out of 3986 or less than 0.3%.

Many thanks to Chris and Dick for putting on such a great contest and to all those who helped call for me and provided suggestions on how to improve. If you are an intermediate pilot with virtually any aerobatic plane I encourage you to try Pattern flying. You don't need a full on Pattern Plane to have a great time. The next NSRCA Pattern Contest will be August 7 and 8 at my home field in Napa, hope to see you there.
